Is Toby Right or Wrong?

Consider whether or not it is a good idea for Toby to lie about Mom’s contest. Come up with some reasons why it was the right or the wrong thing to do, and comment below.

    I agree with Zachary. I wasn’t right for Toby to lie to everyone about his Mom’s contest. It’s because eventually everybody is going to find out and nobody will have any trust in Toby and it’ll ruin his reputation. Also, his Mom is going to find out eventually… And he’s going to be in a lot of trouble.

    Like I said before I’ve been in his place before, except a lot more dramatic. But I would never lie for no reason.

    I wouldn’t lie like Toby did because there’s always another side to one story. When Toby’s mom comes back, everybody from Antler will ask his mom “What happened?” or, “Why did the Grand Ole Opry burn down?

    I think it is wrong like Christian thinks it is wrong and also it is mean to lie to people.

    I think it’s bad to lie about the grand ole opry because sooner or later they will find out the truth it will just make Toby even dumber.

    I think he should have not done that. Now he will get in trouble by his mom.
